Why Stone Alignment
Matters For Luxury.
Natural stone slabs are cut from the same block in sequence. Laid in the right order, the veining flows continuously across a wall or floor — a technique called book-matching. Laid without care, the same expensive stone looks disjointed and accidental. We sequence and dry-lay every stone installation before a single tile is fixed, so the veining tells one continuous story.

How much does bathroom tiling cost in Johannesburg?
Standard tile installation starts from R200/m², and natural stone from R450/m², both fully installed. Final cost depends on material, format size and the amount of waterproofing and prep required.
What's the difference between porcelain and natural stone?
Porcelain is manufactured, highly consistent and low-maintenance. Natural stone is quarried, unique to every slab, and generally requires periodic sealing to maintain its finish.
Does natural stone need to be sealed?
Yes. Most natural stone is porous and should be sealed after installation and re-sealed periodically, typically every 12–24 months depending on the stone and use.
Can you match veining across a feature wall?
Yes, this is called book-matching. We sequence and dry-lay natural stone panels before installation so the veining runs continuously.
How long does bathroom tiling take?
A standard bathroom retile typically takes 5–8 working days including waterproofing, tiling and grouting, depending on size and material.
Do you install large-format tiles?
Yes, including tiles over 1200mm, which require specialist lifting equipment and adhesive to install without cracking or lippage.
What grout colour should I choose?
For a seamless look, match grout closely to the tile colour. For a graphic or patterned look, a contrasting grout can highlight the tile layout — we’ll advise based on your material.
Do you offer a warranty on tile and stone installation?
Yes, all tiling and stone installation is covered by a 10-year workmanship warranty.
